Highland Beauty is a fine example of a Rampart 48
During June, July & August the team at HMS did a great job of completing Highland Beauty and she was ready in time to attend the St Kats Classic Boat Festival during the first weekend in September. This was the perfect location for the customer handover.
The new wheelhouse front screen is looking good, the rebates have been cut to take the glass and it has had several coats of Epifaines PP prior to the varnish being applied. Now the task of hand sanding the awkward toe rails has begun, unfortunately no tool can do this job as well.
The team are making great progress on the fabrication of the new screen and sides for the wheelhouse and the varnish has been sanded and stripped from the cockpit and covering boards.
Highland Beauty is a fine example of a Rampart 48, she has come to HMS for some fairly extensive repairs including a rebuild of the wheelhouse front and sides and an overhaul of the decks, hull and varnish works. She has been brought into the shed and stripped back as the first stage and now the repairs are being templated.
